August 1st

Can't believe its August. Happy birthday to Jordan Mitchell. Well today was filled of a lot of fun. Our other cousins that we barley ever see took us all out to Kyoto today. Toshi, Nobu and Hatsumi. Ill name them off in the pictures so you know who is who. Anyways, they took us to this place in Kyoto where they used to film old samurai movies and what not. Like Japanese Hollywood basically. Im not sure if they still film here but they may.

Well first we stopped by a department store to have some lunch. If you read my other post about how McDonald's is making everyone fat, then this picture should just support my theory. At this department store, McDonald's was having some celebration and had a huge display and a Japanese Ronald doing tricks and games. The kids get sucked in at a young age now...

First picture of the Asian Hollywood. There were a bunch of people dressed up in costumes and taking pictures of themselves everywhere. It was weird at first because none of us knew what was going on. Apparently people go crazy over this stuff and go all out like these three girls. All of the sets are open to the public so they like to dress up all crazy and go into all the sets and take pictures I guess.

After Kyoto we went back home for a surprise party for my cousin Hatsumi who I still didn't put a picture up of. She is engaged and is having her wedding in October so this was her engagement party. Her fiance pretended to be at work but he was actually at the house and surprised my cousin. So here are some pictures from that party! It was so much fun and we had every family member there. I think we had over 20 ppl there. We basically ate food for about 3 hours.

Cassy got to enjoy the final moments of the night with a back rub from my cousin. He's studying acupuncture at school so hes pretty good at massages and that sort of thing.















Im gonna put of some pictures off my dads camera. I was running around all night so didn't get a chance to get a lot of good shots.

Overall it was definitely the best night so far. It was just so nice to visit with all my family and enjoy each others company all night. Its always hard to get everyone to meet up and its always a blessing when we can get everyone together.
